Hurstpierpoint Evangelical Church

Worshipping God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Sunday morning worship at 10.30am

You are very welcome to join us as we gather for morning worship, which consists of:

  • bringing our praise and thanksgiving to God,
  • offering prayer for our world,
  • Bible teaching to help us live,
  • and loving fellowship.

We use the NIV 2010 version of the Bible and a mixture of contemporary and older Christian songs.

There is a loop system for people with hearing aids, and there is good access for disabled people.  If you need extra help, please contact us ahead of your visit if that is possible.

The last Sunday of the month is an all age service, with a bring-and-share fellowship lunch afterwards to which everyone is welcome.

We break bread ('Holy Communion') every second Sunday morning of the month, and we're presently doing so again as part of our end of the month church lunch.

Acts 2: The Fellowship of the Believers

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Sunday evening prayer meeting at 6.30pm (2nd Sunday of the month)

The church gathers for worship.

As a smaller group, the dynamic is a bit less formal than the morning worship, and the focus is mostly upon praying together.

Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm

Our mid week church gathering takes place in the home of  a couple of our members, and we do the things Christians love to do together as we seek to grow as Jesus' followers. At the moment we are studying the book fo Ruth together.

Friday mornings from 9.10am

We meet in the church building for about an hour to pray together.
