Sunday mornings at 10.30am
You are very welcome to join us for morning worship, which consists of:
- bringing our praise and thanksgiving to God,
- offering prayer for our world,
- Bible teaching to help us live,
- and loving fellowship.
We use the NIV version of the Bible and a mixture of contemporary and older Christian songs. There is a loop system for people with hearing aids.
Some of us meet for prayer at 9.50am for 20 minutes, to ask the Lord's blessing upon our meeting. Everyone welcome.
There is a creche every week and "Sunday Club" for primary age children every week except the last Sunday of the month.
The last Sunday of the month is an all age service, with a bring-and-share fellowship lunch afterwards to which everyone is welcome.
Throughout 2011we're using the E100 reading plan from BibleFresh, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible this year. These last Sundays are being used to give an overview of the month's readings.

We break bread ('Holy Communion') every second Sunday morning of the month, and we're presently doing so again as part of our end of the month church lunch (as a trial).
Sunday evenings at 6.30pm
The church meets for worship again.
As a smaller group, the dynamic is a bit less formal than the morning worship, and the teaching is more interactive.
Tuesday afternoons at 2.00pm
We meet for about an hour and a quarter for alternate prayer / Bible study.
Wednesday evenings
Our mid-week small groups help to foster an attitude of encouraging and spur one another on in our faith in Jesus Christ and living lives that honour him.
We do this in a Men's and a Women's group on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month and a collective 'Growth Group' on the 2nd and 4th weeks.
We prayer for persecuted Christians when there is a 5th Wednesday in the month.
These are held in homes around the village.
Thursday evenings from 6.30-8pm
Contagious is the name of our Youth Group for 11-16 year olds.
A varied programme throuhout the year including activities, games, sports, crafts.
Each week we look at part of the Bible and its truth and relevance for young people today.
Friday mornings from 9-11.15am
Our carers and toddlers group, The Ark, meets during term time.
It is so popular there is now a waiting list for places, although often places are available or people are soon accommodated.
There is preference given to people in Hurstpierpoint village.
The Ark is a warm and friendly group, combining safe play and a comfortable atmosphere with crafts, songs and story telling each week.
Friday afternons from 3.15-4.15pm
If your child attends St Lawrence Primary School, the church runs Exploreres - an after school club packed with Bible teaching, a quiz, singing, games and crafts.
All of our leaders and helpers are CRB checked and we operate a child protection policy, copies of which may be available on request.
